NUMERICAL STRENGHT OF MINISTERS DOES NOT MATTER BUT PERFORMANCE – ELDER OFORI
The Senior Pastor of the 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly sited at Kumasi Esereso in the Ashanti Region, Elder Enock Ofori Jnr has stressed the need for Ghanaians to be calm and allow President Nana Akuffo Addo to go ahead and appoint his ministers since the constitution gives him the mandate to do so.
Speaking to the Akora Online Radio(www.akoraonlineradio.com) in an exclusive interview, Elder Ofori noted that on the face value of the ministerial appointments, the numerical strength are high and also it is first in history of such appointments in the country.
According to him there is no need for Ghanaians to argue about the appointments but what matters most is the performance of the ministers to revamp the economy to bail Ghanaians out from their hardship. He said President Nana Addo, as a true statesman, he, studied the status of the economy and satisfied that choosing more team as his ministers would overturn the decline of the economy for the benefit of the citizenry.
The man of God observed that President Nana Addo made a lot of promises during his electioneering campaign, therefore in order to deliver, he find it appropriate to have a great team to ensure effective performance to enhance his numerous promises. All what we want is performance that would lead to the protection of public purse, Elder Ofori, told this correspondent, and urged the ministers to work to benefit the country, adding that, since the country would make huge expenditure on their appointment, they should also prove that there is value for money “To whom much is given, much is expected from him” the elder advised the ministers and stressed the need for the appointees to meet all the expectations required from them by the nation, since Ghanaians would hold them responsible if they dash the hope of the people through laziness.
