Kwahu-East, Abetifi District Chief Executive Isaac Agyapong has strongly refuted claims of fertilizer theft that have been making the rounds on Facebook and TikTok.
Agyapong insists that the claims are “completely untrue, malevolent, and a deliberate attempt to damage my hard-earned reputation.” The accusations include that he has stolen fertilizers intended for the district.
Isaac Agyapong clarifies in a statement that the accusations are unfounded because the Kwahu-East District lacks a dedicated warehouse for the storage of fertilizers.
On December 11, 2024, he also describes how a Yaw Sowah and other goons broke into his office and accused him of stealing fertilizer from Assembly outlets.
But according to Isaac Agyapong, since no such incident ever happened, there is neither proof nor veracity to this claim.
In a shocking turn of events, Agyapong blames the National Democratic Congress (NDC), claiming that some members of the party are conspiring to harm his reputation.
During their transit from Tema to Oframase and Miaso via Asakraka, he alleges that NDC thugs stole fertilizers intended for the Kwahu-East District.
Tricycles, Rhino trucks, and KIA vehicles were allegedly used to deliver the fertilizers, which were meant to give farmers vital agriculture inputs prior to the start of the planting season, to unidentified locations.
Against a backdrop of fertilizer theft and scandals around the nation, Isaac Agyapong denied the accusations.
He does, however, reassure the public that there is no need for concern and that he has never engaged in any unethical behavior and never will.
Until he hands over, he will continue to serve the people of Kwahu-East with integrity.
He exhorts everyone to ignore these baseless charges and keep their attention on the district’s overall growth and development.
